Sanne Nuyens,(1981) studied screenwriting at St Lukas Brussels and cultural studies at the University of Leuven. Together with Bert Van Dael she wrote the award-winning short films 'Buddy' (offical selection Palme d'Or, Cannes) and 'Skunk' by Raf and Jan Roosens (Winner Slamdance, Guanajuato and Gijon Film festival), 'Robyn O. (14)’ by Cecilia Verheyden (Winner Brussels Film festival) and 'Dura Lex' by Anke Blondé (Winner Palm Springs, Bristol short film festival).
In 2017 tv series 'Beau Séjour' aired. The first tv-drama series which she co-created and also co-wrote as a screenwriter for Belgian production company DeMensen. 'Beau Séjour' won the public prize at Séries Mania-festival in Paris and is the first Flemish series to be bought by Arte France & Germany. The series was distributed worldwide as a Netflix original series. She is currrently developping a new tv-drama series as a showrunner and writer for broadcasting channel Eén, a production by Warner Brothers film & tv-drama, Belgium.
